Sometimes students need the perfect place to do homework, but can’t find it. It takes testing, but this testing has been done for you. Through some recent research involving students from the freshman and junior classes, this survey found the best homework spot on campus.
Out of ten freshmen and juniors, the kiosk and the library were the most voted on as the best location for studying at PACA after school. These results may lead some to wonder what makes them the most popular locations on campus. One might ask, “Is it really the location that makes it desirable? Is there something else that draws students to study there?”

After further questioning, it was found that the kiosk is largely voted on because of its open area and surrounding nature. It was also voted on because of the amazing view of the sunset during the afternoon. Finally, this area has no administrative restrictions because it is supervised by Mr. Nana Agyei-Yeboah.
The library, on the other hand, was largely voted on due to the quiet and peaceful environment. Also, it is a very comfortable and relaxing place to study, because of the air conditioning and comfortable chairs.
However, it is only available for a short period of time during after school hours with a closing time of 4:00pm. Students who are staying after school for the sports program have to relocate if their study time continues after the library closes.
Even though the Maker Space area wasn’t the winner of the voting; it was still discussed between classmates. It was voted on due to its perfect room temperature and relaxing sensation since the room consists of an air conditioner. Another location similar to this one is SR1 (which was formerly known as H0) and is also air conditioned.
Both the Maker Space room and H0 need adult supervision for students to use them, which is not always available. The Maker Space room isn’t available after 4 p.m. as it is locked at that time.
For students who had the misfortune of receiving detentions, they are most often found in HR9 homeroom (formerly called H2).
Another location that was not mentioned in the survey was the Pop Shop. Located in the area between the secondary home rooms, the soccer field and the entrance to the gym, it is an ideal spot for studying or simply hanging out. It is also approved as a location with sufficient adult supervision.
In my opinion, the pop shop is a personal favorite. There are many reasons why I like to study in this area. My top two reasons are because it has a great view of the soccer field and it has perfect placement for after school activities. Being close to both the gym and soccer field, I can quickly get to all my scheduled practices.
