The U.S. Presidential elections are coming up on Tuesday, November 5. Voters in America will have the opportunity to go to their local polling place to cast their votes.  It’s as simple as registering to vote and then exercising that right.  However, not only people from the United States are being affected by the elections.  There are people from other countries who also care about the election process, and could get affected by whoever becomes the next president.

According to Kevin Flurry, PACA’s Director of Development, a little over 13% of students at PACA have American citizenship, and there is even a larger group who have lived in the United States or have family who live there now.

Let’s find out what students think about this. On August 26, we interviewed a group of PACA high school students, asking them who they would choose to be elected as president of the U.S.A.

According to our data, 70% of the students interviewed said they would vote for Trump, and that seems to be the big trend worldwide, with Trump having 44% of votes, in a similar paper like this one, by ‘projects.fivethirtyeight.com’.

When asked why they would vote for Trump, there were a variety of answers.  Some of the students base their answers on what they have heard from their parents.  Others base their choice on what they have they have read online.
