On March 17th, the 9th grade class went on an exciting field trip to Hopi Hari, an amusement park known for its thrilling rides and educational opportunities. This trip was not only a fun time but also a unique learning experience for the students.

Natasha Swisher, a freshman in 9th grade, shared her thoughts on the trip.

“I really enjoyed this trip,” said Swisher.  “It was something different for our class, and I think it brought us together more. I had so much fun with my friends while also learning about the different rides at Hopi Hari.”

During the visit, students had the chance to learn about the history and mechanics of various rides. Swisher said, “I learned about some of the history in the rides, along with how some of them functioned.”

This hands-on learning experience allowed students to see the practical applications of the concepts they studied in their physical science class.

The highlight of the trip for many students was the opportunity to experience a variety of rides. “My favorite part of this trip was getting to go on a bunch of different rides with my friends, I got to create some really fun memories,” said Swisher.

From roller coasters to spinning rides, the students enjoyed the adrenaline rush and the chance to bond with their classmates.

One of the most educational aspects of the trip was the opportunity to understand the physics behind the rides. Swisher said, “It helped explain some of the feelings I had during the ride, like when I felt weightless during the loop roller coaster, because different forces were pushing me.”

This real-world application of physics concepts such as gravity, inertia, and centripetal force made the learning experience both fun and informative.

The trip also included opportunities for students to interact and bond outside the classroom setting. Swisher noted that the trip brought the class closer together, creating a sense of community and friendship.

“I think it brought us together more,” she said, “We had so much fun with our friends while also learning.”

The success of this trip has stimulated  interest in organizing similar educational trips in the future. Both teachers and students are looking forward to more opportunities to learn outside the classroom and experience it in action. Field trips like this one not only enrich the students’ academic knowledge but also contribute to their personal growth and social development.

Overall, the trip to Hopi Hari was a memorable and educational experience for the 9th grade class. It mixed fun and learning in a way that brought the students closer together and increased their understanding of scientific principles.
